On Town Center South Planning Committee, as liaison from the Historic
District Commission, I helped participants focus on the area?s historic
fabric throughout the planning stages and drafted the Historic
Preservation section of the final report.
As Chair of the Standing Building Committee, I collaborated with the
BOE?s Community Task Force on School Facilities (CTFSF) and the BOE to
ensure an effective three-way collaboration between the CTFSF, the BOE,
and the Standing Building Committee.
As Chair of the Historic District Commission, I instituted an update
and revision of the Commission?s Rules of Procedures.
Statement
"After 31 years of living in different areas of Guilford and raising
three children here, I am eager to continue serving as a member of the
Board of Finance and working to preserve the town?s superb
resources--from its southern shoreline to its northern
hayfields.
As an architect trained in seeking consensus, I intend to use my
extensive experience on community and professional committees to help
the BOF responsibly consider all aspects of the fiscal issues Guilford
faces and arrive at practical, collaborative decisions. I will work to
maintain the Town?s current fiscal stability in an increasingly
unstable economy."
