Voters OK $77.7M Budget Plan

Voters approved the town's $77.7 million 2010-11 budget at Tuesday's referendum, with many saying they want to protect jobs and programs, despite another tax increase.

The town clerk's office said 3,887 people, or 35.47 percent of registered voters, participated in the referendum and that the budget passed by 478 votes. Read more from this New Haven Register article.
